Common Ground

Common Ground is a software platform to index and integrate business data and web content, based on location, and to link this content to map-based applications; it consists of a number of components, including:

• PlaceSmart Web Services: Address Entry & Validation, Geocoding, Content Indexing, Geographic and place-centric Search, and Map Integration
• PlaceSmart Index: Gazetteer, Universal Spatial Locator
• Database of Places: Addresses, Streets, Administrative Boundaries, Postal Areas
